Chumphu Nye is one of the most sacred sites associated with Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) — the great spiritual master who brought Buddhism to Bhutan and Tibet. According to tradition, he practiced meditation here, and over time, the site became one of the most important places for spiritual retreats. To this day, pilgrims from across Bhutan come here to offer prayers, receive blessings, and spend time in silence amidst the mountains.
